Steampunk PC video game recommendation - American McGee's Alice
adventures. As far as the game plot goes, it feels more like you're reading a fantastic book rather than playing a game. Game itself conveys strong spirit of steampunk - there are cogwheel-ridden steam-powered machinery and suitable environment on every game level. Amusingly enough, game's main theme is called "Flying on the wings of steam" by Chris Vrenna. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out any more of his work besides OST to the McGee's Alice, but he is supposedly going to work on a sequel as well. It's definitely worth checking out; it should be also noted game developers were nice enough to release both PC and Mac versions of the game. You can get them at Amazon for about $10, which isn't a lot for such game.
